ROTARY HEAD TYPE RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain smooth cassette loading by arranging the rotary fulcrum point of a cassette holder as a cassette carrying means closely to the rear side of a rotary head drum and decreasing the distance from the rotary center of the cassette holder to the tape of the tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:Cassette carrying means 23, 24 are provided, in which the front end of the tape cassette 1 in a 1st position enabling the loading/unloading of the tape cassette 1 takes a positional relation so as to be covered over the rotary head drum and the front end of the tape cassette 1 is moved to the position not covered with the rotary head drum on the way of carrying from the 1st position to a 2nd position enabling the playing. The rotational centers 18, 19 of the cassette carrying means 23, 24 are arranged closely to the rear side of the rotary head drum to decrease the distance to the cassette tape 1. Thus, even when the distance from the rotational center to the tape of the tape cassette is small, the smooth cassette loading is realized and the depth of the mechanism is decreased to contribute to the miniaturization of the device.
