DIE-STAMPER

PURPOSE:To provide a mechanism for die-stamping a character as a pattern of dots stamped by a stamping die needle, make it possible to achieve uniform and clear die stamping and make it sufficient only by correcting or replacing the die needle when the quality of die-stamped characters is deteriorated, by shaping the tip of a die-stamping electromagnetic hammer into a single needle form, and disposing the hammer on a slide table capable of being moved in Y and X directions. CONSTITUTION:With a coil 35 excited, an attraction pin 32 is attracted by a core 34, a lever 31 is pulled downward, and a stamping die needle 37 is also drawn downward to collide against an object to be die-stamped which is placed on a die-stamping table 16. When the coil 35 is deenergized, the lever 31 and the needle 37 are returned to initial positions by a spring 36 and a spring 40. Such dots thus formed are combined to constitute a character. A microcomputer 100 selects a dot pattern for the character to be die-stamped from dot patterns stored in a ROM, and outputs control signals to motor-driving circuits 103, 104 and a hammer-driving circuit 105 to appropriately control an X table 2, a Y table 21 and an electromagnetic hammer 30 according to the selected dot pattern.
