Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the abrasion resistance and strength of a seal ring for the rotary shaft of a hydraulic machine by forming the seal ring with a laminated material comprising a carbon fiber plane weave cloth added to a phenol resin base material. CONSTITUTION:A phenol resin is used as a base material and carbon fiber plane weave cloth is laminated thereupon as a reinforcement material, thereby forming a seal ring material for the rotary shaft. The existence of said plane weave cloth can increase the abrasion resistance and strength of the seal ring material. Furthermore, the addition of 5-20wt.% of graphite to the lamination further improves the frictional characteristics and durability of the seal ring material.
