Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To perform measurement without stopping a work, by irradiating the work with illumination light with a time being shifted to successively take-in different image groups. CONSTITUTION:Works W1, W2... are continuously fed by a continuous feed conveyor B. An illuminator F1 irradiates each of the works with flash light for picking up an image due to regular reflected light and an illuminator F2 irradiates each work with flash light for picking up an image due to irregular reflected light. A television camera C1 picks up both images. The illuminators F1, F2 emit lights so that a time is shifted by the time corresponding to one frame of the television camera C1 or more. As a result, a plurality of different images can be instantaneously obtained and it is unnecessary to stop the conveyor B for the sake of obtaining the different images.
