Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To produce the title polyamide excellent in moldability and moisture resistance, by reacting a specified aromatic dicarboxylic acid (halide) with an aromatic diamine. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic dicarboxylic acid (halide) containing at least 15wt.% tetrafluoro dicarboxylic acids (halides) of formula I and/or II (wherein X1 is H or a halogen) is reacted with an aromatic diamine of formula III [wherein X is O, S, SO2, CH2, C(CH3)2, CH3-P=O, CF2 or C(CF3); Ar is a bivalent aromatic hydrocarbon group, and n is 0 or 1] at a molar ratio of 1:0.5-1.5 and -50-150 deg.C to obtain a fluorine-containing aromatic polyamide comprising structural units of formula VI (wherein A is an aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue, and R is an aromatic diamine residue), wherein at least 23wt.% of the structural units are those of formula IV or/and V, having an F content of 4-45wt.% and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.1-1.5.
