CONNECTION DEVICE FOR METAL STRIP

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in a welding connection part by providing a guide mechanism for a traverse motion frame and combining the traverse motion frame and common base mechanically. CONSTITUTION:A rail 8 is respectively fixed to both sides of a traverse motion frame 4 and a guide block 9 is arranged by fixing it to the inner side face of a supporting base 2 as well. With this method a common base 1 and traverse motion frame 4 can be linked by the engaging guide mechanism 11 composed of the rail 8 and guide block 9. A sliding material 12 is interposed between the upper and lower of the engaging part thereof and a guide bar groove 13 is provided on the rail 8. In this case, since the frame 4 and common base 1 are linked by the guide mechanism 11 which is mechanically inseparable, the frame 4 performs the deformation prevention of the common base 1. Consequently the escape of a strip is prevented by the traverse motion frame 4 and the accuracy of the welding connection part is improved.
