NOVEL OPTICALLY ACTIVE 1-ACYLPROLINE ESTER AND ITS UTILIZATION AS LIQUID CRYSTAL DOPE AGENT

Optically active esters of 1-acylproline of the general formula (I) in which at least one of the radicals R1 and R2 is a mesogenic radical, are suitable as dopes in ferroelectric liquid-crystal mixtures. Proline derivatives in which only the R1 radical is mesogenic are preferred.
