HIGH OUTPUT CELL PACK

PURPOSE:To prevent the variation of cells housed in a jacket even though an external shock is inflicted, and to improve the reliability of a high output cell pack, by furnishing an adhesive layer at the gap between the inner surface of the jacket and the outer sides of the cells. CONSTITUTION:This cell pack 9 consists of high output cells 10, PTC elements connected in series to the bells electrically, and a jacket 12 housing the cells and the PTC elements, and the rigid holding of the inside cells is secured by furnishing an adhesive layer 8 at the gap between the inner surface of the jacket 12 and the outer sides of the cells 10. In such a composition, even though an external shock is inflicted to the cell pack, the cells housed in the jacket make no variation, and the electrical and the mechanical connection between the cells 10 and the PTC elements are never hurt since the cells 10 make no variation. In other words, when an external shock is inflicted, such a shock is absorbed by the insulating flexible adhesive, and the inside cells 10 and the PTC elements, and their connection are protected.
