Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To positively fix a heat transfer pipe support grid even in a heat exchanger of a small shell diameter and along sheet body by fitting a spacer to the heat transfer pipe support grid or to the outer peripheral ring of the heat transfer pipe support grid, and fixing the heat transfer tube support grid by a tierod penetrating through the spacer. CONSTITUTION:A tube side fluid flows into a water chamber 1 from a water chamber inlet nozzle 2. Thereafter, the tube side fluid flows within a heat transfer pipe 8 and carries out transmission and reception of heat to and from a shell side fluid and flows into a righthand water chamber 1 and flows out through an outlet nozzle 9. The shell side fluid flows into the shell through its inlet nozzle 10, and flows in parallel to the heat transfer pipe 8 and carries out transmission and reception of heat to and from the tube side fluid and flows out through a shell outlet nozzle 12. A heat transfer tube support grid 14 is provided for preventing the heat transfer pipe 8 from being vibrated by the shell side fluid and from being damaged. A spacer 6 is positioned and fixed by a tierod 5 penetrating the spacer 6. The tierod 5 is fixed to the tubular plate 3 by screws and the right end thereof clamps the spacer 6 by a tierod clamping nut 13. The spacer 6 is fixed to the outer peripheral ring 7 of the heat transfer tube support grid by welding.
