GAS SHIELDED WELDING WIRE

PURPOSE:To stably obtain a welding wire displaying the excellent droplet transfer by providing horizontal grooves by intercrystalline oxidation on the steel bare surface and allowing to contain a potassium content in the horizontal grooves. CONSTITUTION:After an intercrystalline oxidized layer is adjusted by the deoxidizing, a wire is drawn more than one step by a dry lubricant in which industrial potassium stearate is contained, by which the industrial potassium stearate is pressed in the horizontal grooves while forming the horizontal grooves on an intercrystalline oxidized residual part or a dissolution part of the intercrystalline oxidation. Since the pre-treatment is already carried out by the pickling before the wire is drawn, the wire surface is cleaned and the surface activating treatment by necessary pickling and neutralizing for the plating pre-treatment after the dry wire-drawing can be carried out in a short time and the potassium content held in the horizontal grooves cannot be eluted. In this way, the wire to display the excellent droplet transfer holding the satisfactory feeding property and the arc stabilization is obtained.
