COLOR IMAGE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To simplify the removing of a foundation color by determining a foundation color removing quantity and a black signal by using the minimum value of an input digital color signal as a full black signal, and obtaining the foundation color removing quantity corresponding to the black signal from a reference table at every color. CONSTITUTION:A color sequential converting circuit 1 converts an input digital color signal to a color sequential signal CSS and a color discriminating signal CID. A minimum value detecting circuit 2 detects the minimum value at every color of the signal CSS, and outputs it as a full black signal K0. Subsequently, a UCR quantity determining and black determining circuit 3 uses the signal K0 and the signal CID as input addresses, and can obtain easily a digital value CUC showing an optimum foundation color removing UCR quantity corresponding to the magnitude of a black signal at every color, from one reference table. In this state, by adding the output CUC and the signal CSS at an adder 4, a foundation color removing is executed. In such a way, the removing of the foundation color for an exact color reproduction can be executed by a simple circuit.
