ANTENNA TOWER IN ARTIFICIAL SATELLITE

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled antenna tower by providing a reinforcing sandwich plate consisting of a fiber reinforced plastics plate and a honeycomb core. CONSTITUTION:A sandwich plate 12 constituted of a fiber reinforced plastics plate 13 and a honeycomb core 14 is coupled obliquely in the face surrounded by a tower longitudinal member 5 so that a feeding part 3 is opposed to a mirror 2, in an expansion state of an antenna reflecting mirror 2. The oblique plate 12 executes a role of a truss for transmitting a bending load and a torsion load applied to an antenna tower 4, to between the longitudinal members 5, therefore, an oblique member is not required especially, and also, there is no fear of blocking, therefore, the feeding part 3 can be placed in the tower 4. In such a way, the antenna tower becomes compact as a whole, and can be miniaturized.
