Zusammenfassung:	NEW MATERIAL:3'-Deamino-3'-(4-morpholinyl)-13-dexo-10-hydroxycarbonyl- carminomycin of formula I and salt thereof. Melting point; 171-173 deg.C. USE:A synthetic intermediate for M-R20X or M-R20X2 useful as an antitumor substance. PREPARATION:R20X3 which is a starting material is reacted with 2,2'- oxydiacetaldehyde of formula II in a solvent such as THF, etc., preferably in the pressure of a reducing agent such as NaBH4, etc., to convert amino group of R20X3 into norpholinyl group thereof and afford the aimed compound of formula I. The reaction is preferably carried out in 1:8-15 molar ratio of the R20X3 to the compound of formula II at nearly room temperature. The R20X3 is, e.g., prepared by culture of Actinomadure roseoviolacea 1029-AV1 (FEPMP-945).
