Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To enable a bar code reader itself to confirm read contents read by decoding bar code information stored in a memory into data which can be displayed and displaying them on a display device. CONSTITUTION:The bar code information which is converted by a bar code decoder 4 is stored in the memory 5 and the stored data is converted by a display decoder driver 7 into data which can be displayed to drive a display device 8. Consequently, the read bar code information is displayed at the point of time and a user confirms the display and outputs it to equipment such as a video tape recorder when the information is desired contents. Thus, the display decoder driver 7 which converts the memory contents for the display and drives the display device and the display device 8 are provided to enable the bar code reader itself to confirm whether or not the read information is normal.
