Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reduce the slide noise level by interposing an oxide magnetic thin film to a junction boundary between a single crystal ferrite and a polycrystal ferrite so as to suppress the length of the single crystal ferrite to a prescribed value accurately. CONSTITUTION:The single crystal ferrite 1 constituting a magnetic gap (g) at the contact face of a magnetic recording medium and the polycrystal ferrite 2 occupying most parts of the magnetic circuit at the back gap side of the magnetic head are bonded and integrated via an oxide magnetic thin film 3. The oxide magnetic thin film 3 has very minute and well-arranged crystal grains and shows discontinuous grain growth by heating. Thus, in applying a hot pressing processing at a temperature lower than the temperature where the oxide magnetic thin film 3 is subjected to crystal grain growth, no diffusion layer is formed between the single crystal ferrite 1 and the polycrystal ferrite 2, the waving at the boundary is eliminated and the length L of the single crystal ferrite 1 is formed accurately to a prescribed value. Thus, the slide noise level is remarkably decreased.
