TELEVISION CONFERENCE UTILIZING CATV NETWORK

PURPOSE:To facilitate a television conference utilizing a CATV network by transmitting a transmission from a conference room after a video signal and a sound signal are modulated and mode into a TV signal using the frequency band of an up direction, and receiving it at a CATV center, and transmitting it after the received signal is converted into the TV signal using the frequency band of a down direction. CONSTITUTION:The frequency bands of the up and the down directions are made different, and the coaxial line 30 of the CATV network capable of a two-way communication is led-in to plural number of the conference rooms 1, 2,..., and the transmission from the conference room is transmitted to the coaxial line 30 as the TV signal after the video signal and the sound signal are modulated by a modulator 10 so as to use the frequency band of the up direction of the coaxial line 30. The CATV center 20 converts the received said TV signal into the TV signal using the frequency band of the down direction by a frequency converter 11, and transmits it to the said coaxial line 30. The receiving side of the conference room receives it, and demodulates it into the video signal and the sound signal by a demodulator 12, and such a operation is performed between the conference rooms, for instance, 1 and 2. Thus, by utilizing the CATV network, the television conference can be performed between the conference rooms 1 and 2.
