ANTIULCER AGENT CONTAINING PROSTACYCLIN ANALOG AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PURPOSE:To obtain an antiulcer containing a prostacyclin analog as an active ingredient and useful for preventing and treating peptic ulcer. CONSTITUTION:An antiulcer agent containing a compound expressed by the formula [R is -CO2R (R is H, 1-12C alkyl, etc.) or -CONR R (R and R are H, 1-10C alkyl, etc.); A is -CH2CH2CH2-, etc.; B is trans-CH=CH-, etc.; R is 3-10C alkyl, etc.; R is H, methyl or vinyl; R is H, 1-7C acyl, etc.] as an active ingredient. The compound expressed by the formula has weak hypotensive action and is excellent in selection of action without exhibiting diarrhea which is trouble in clinical use of PGE2 analogs and effective against gastric mucosal disorder, such as acute mucosal disorder caused by food, alcohol, drug, and local chronic tissue deficiency represented by peptic ulcer. Oral agents, such as powder, and parenteral agents, such injection, are cited as the dosage form and sustained release formulations can be further prepared.
