INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To decrease the useless saving and recovering frequencies of a register and to improve the working efficiency of a computer, by using a control register which shows the state of built-in registers and instructions related to the control register. CONSTITUTION:A life/death flag 2 is provided to decide whether the values of the general-purpose registers 5 are referred to again thereafter together with a means (control register 9) which secures the relation between the flag 2 and the registers 5 and controls all registers 5, an instruction word 1 which saves and recovers selectively only those registers 5 having the life display to the register 9. Then, the register 9 always monitors to decide a specific one of registers 5 that required the saving and recovering operations. Thus, only the necessary registers 5 are saved and recovered with reference to to the register 9. In such a way, the useless saving and recovering operations are avoided with registers 5 and a program can be easily executed with high efficiency.
