CALIBRATION LIQUID FOR LIQUID ANALYSIS

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of calibration curve formation by incorporating a water-insoluble dispersion phase into a calibration liquid for forming the calibration curve of an analysis system. CONSTITUTION:The water-insoluble dispersion phase is incorporated into the calibration liquid for liquid component analysis to determine the specific component in whole blood. A dry type analysis material contg. at least one reagent in a water permeable layer and having a porous development layer on the outermost layer is used and the liquid contg. the water-insoluble dispersion phase is used as the calibration liquid at the time of a quantitative analysis of the specific analyte in the whole blood. The water-insoluble dispersion phase is selected from the group consisting of a styrene polymer, copolymer of styrene and monomer copolymerizable therewith, etc., if said phase is a solid phase. The water-insoluble dispersion phase is selected from the group consisting of adipate, sebacate, etc., if said phase is a liquid phase. The water-insoluble dispersion phase is an emulsion or suspension which has grain sizes ranging 0.01-10mum and can be uniformly mixed with an aq. phase by a simple stirring operation. Said phase may not always be a liquid dispersion.
