BLADE CHANGER FOR SCRAP CHOPPER

PURPOSE:To perform blade replacement easily in a short time as well as to make improvements in safety and operation rate, by installing a detachable mechanism which attaches or detaches a pair of blade holders to or from a pair of blade shafts of a chopper body each via a screw feed mechanism. CONSTITUTION:There is provided with a detachable mechanism which attaches or detaches a pair of upper and lower blades 5 and 6 to or from a pair of blade shafts 24 of a chopper body 23 via each screw feed mechanism. Therefore, it is preassembled to both these upper and lower blade holders 5 and 5 fitted with each of new blades in advance, and screw shafts 8 and 9 are rotated in a very short time at the time of line stoppage, whereby these upper and lower blade holders 5 and 6 can be assembled to the blade shafts 24 of the chopper body 23. Accordingly, as compared with the case that assembling takes place with a crane and a hoist or the like in the past, safety and operation rate are yet more improvable.
