Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent the pump cavitation due to the spiral flow and the entrainment of air bubbles and to eliminate the heat due to the spiral flow by providing a flow straightening mechanism in a double-barreled evaporator for a radioactive waste liq. CONSTITUTION:The waste liq. discharged into the evaporator 9 from a heater through a connecting pipe 22 flows down in the evaporator as the spiral flow resulting from tangential inflow, and the flow direction is changed by a vortex breaker 18 provided with a flow straightening plate. The vortex breaker 18 provided with a flow straightening plate is fixed by a support 19 and freely rotated, hence the waste liq. is allowed to flow smoothly. Either of a flow straightening barrel and a vortex breaker provided with a flow straightening barrel can be used as the flow straightening mechanism instead of the vortex breaker 18 provided with a flow straightening plate.
