SOLID-STATE COLOR CAMERA

PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of a moire by using signals included in a first and a second video signals and respectively corresponding to two horizontal picture elements in the basic unit of a color separation filter to satisfy a specific relation and forming a first and a second chrominance signals. CONSTITUTION:The first video signal consisting of the time series of signals S1 and S2 corresponding to the color separation filter outputted from a solid- state image pickup element and alternately obtained for every one horizontal period and second video signal consisting of the time series of other signals S3, S4 are used to form a color video signal. Herein, the respective signals S1-S4 are set to a prescribed ratio to carry out an operation satisfying a prescribed expression. In the expressions, 1, 2, alpha, alpha', beta, beta', gamma, gamma', delta, delta' indicate the arithmetic ratio of the respective signals and C1, C2 are respectively a first and a second chrominance signals. In this case, beta, beta' and delta, delta' are set so as to have a good color reproduction and alpha, alpha', gamma, gamma' have a relation of gamma>alpha, gamma'>alpha'. Thereby, the color moire can be suppressed.
