Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To compensate the instantaneous reactive power with the converter output voltage secured a prescribed level by providing a reactive power detector, an adder, an integrator, a function generator and a multiplier and controlling the control pulse of a converter based on a flowing rate and a phase angle. CONSTITUTION:The reactive power Q is detected by a reactive power detector Q4 and set coincident with a reactive power command Q3 via comparison carried out by an adder A1. Then the power Q is integrated by an integrator I1 and sent to a function generator F1. The F1 produces the phase angles of -pi/2-+pi/2 according to the power Q. The phase angle generated by the generator F1 is multiplied by the output of a function generator F2 that has the value of 1 or -1 in response to the polarity of a DC output voltage command Fds. Thus the phase angle has the prescribed polarity. A flowing rate gamma is set in response to the absolute value of the output voltage command. Then the control pulse of a converter is controlled based on the rate gamma and the phase angle.
