Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To suppress a fluctuation in the temperature of a sand layer, by a method wherein the temperature of the sand layer is regulated according to the moisture content of an object to be incinerated. CONSTITUTION:A fluid air temperature T2 is regulated by dampers D1 and D2 so that the temperature of a sand layer is increased when a moisture content M2 of sludge charged in a fluidized bed incinerator 1 is increased. When a drier 4 is used, a heating medium temperature is increased. When the moisture content M2 is lowered, reverse operation is effected. Although the fluid air temperature is set by a waste heat recovery device 3, fluid air is also preheated by an air preheater 2.
