POLYOLEFIN RESIN COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. which is useful as an engraving material, has excellent glass, decorative properties, machinability feeling to tough gives a sharp cut angle, and is neither too hard nor brittle, by blending a specified resin compsn. with an inorg. filler and an org. filler. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polyolefin resin (A) having a viscosity-average MW of 10,000-500,000, a specific gravity of 0.88-0.99, an m.p. of 90-160 deg.C and an MI of 0.1-50g/10min, such as PE, PP, etc., is blended with 20-300pts.wt. wax (B) having an m.p. of not lower than room temp. but not higher than the m.p. of the component A, such as PE wax, and a mineral oil and/or synthetic oil (C) having a pour point of not higher than room temp. but not lower than the m.p. of the component A and a specific gravity of 0.85-1.05 to obtain a resin compsn. The compsn. is blended with 5-50wt% inorg. filler (D) having an average particle size of 0.5-50mu, such as titania, alumina, silica, talc, calcium carbonate, etc., and 5-50wt% org. filler (E) having an average particle size of 20-400 mesh, such as woodmead, natural pulp, wheat flour, etc.
