COMPOSITE GAS VALVE

PURPOSE:To prevent oil leakage which is liable to occur with valve-drive by an electromagnetic pump, by transmitting the rotation of a drive motor to a gear mechanism through a clutch mechanism, and by converting the output of the gear mechanism into a rectilinear movement so as to open and close a composite valve. CONSTITUTION:In a composite gas valve in which two shut-off valves 4, 5 urged in the closing directions by springs are arranged in front and rear of a gas pressure regulator 6, the rotation of a single drive motor 16 is transmitted to a two drive mechanisms 17, 18 through the clutch mechanisms 19, 20 so as to be decreased in its speed, and then the rotation is converted into rectilinear motions by means of eccentric cams 24a, 24b and actuating levers 25, 25 to open and close shut-off valves 4, 5. The opening and closing of the valves are carried out by engaging the clutch mechanisms 19, 20. When the engagement of the clutch mechanisms are released, lock mechanisms 29, 31 are engaged with the gears to hold the opening condition of the shut-off valves 4, 5. With this arrangement, it is possible to open and close the valves with the use of mechanisms, thereby it is possible to prevent oil leakage or the like.
