METHOD FOR OPERATING BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE:To uniformize activation in a furnace and to stabilize a furnace operational condition by blowing different fuel in accordance with the furnace operational condition in the vicinity of each tuyere, where shown abnormal condition, by observation of the furnace operational condition. CONSTITUTION:In the blast furnace operation, one kind of fuel, for example powered coal, is blown from all tuyeres 5. By observing the furnace operational condition, at the time of difficulty in maintaining stable operation caused by change of position of the fusion zone 2 and development of the stagnating layer 3, oil, etc., having higher calories than the powdered coal is blown from plural tuyeres 5a at the position below the stagnating layer 3. In this way, the temp. at the stagnating layer 3 is partially resin and the fused zone 2 is set back upward, to eliminate the stagnating layer 3. After that, the blowing from the tuyere 5a is returned back to the powdered coal. In this way, the operational condition of blast furnace is suitable maintained.
