PRODUCTION OF SLOW-RELEASING PREPARATION

PURPOSE:To obtain a slow-releasing agent capable of surely and stably releasing an agent such as insecticide over a long period, with simple means at a low cost, by mixing a resin with a carrier, impregnating an agent in the mixture and solidifying with press. CONSTITUTION:A resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, cellulose derivative, etc., is mixed with a carrier at a weight ratio (resin:carrier) of 2:1-1:100, preferably 1:(1-20) and the mixture is impregnated with one or more agents selected from insecticide, attractant, repellent, pheromone, moth-proofing agent, perfumery, deodorant, etc. The obtained composition is pressed and solidified preferably in the form of a tablet. A slow-releasing agent capable of slowly releasing the above agent over a long period and keeping its activity can be produced by this process at a low cost. The resin is used usually in the form of powder or granule.
