Zusammenfassung: | In the mass transfer apparatus by means of hollow filaments, whose end regions are each cast into an embedding compound block joined fluid-tight to a housing shell, the latter has at least one orifice, a distributor body for feeding or discharging the fluid flowing around the hollow filaments is arranged in the region of the longitudinal axis of the orifice, the hollow filaments are microporous and are arranged in a uniform distribution over the entire cross-section of the embedding compound blocks and, between the outer hollow filaments and the housing shell, there is an annular free space into which the at least one orifice leads. The housing shell and the distributor body, and also the end caps which may be provided, are preferably designed in such a way that they can be produced by the injection-moulding process. The device is especially suitable as a blood oxygenator, in which case it can be assembled to form a unit by means of an intermediate ring with a heat exchanger for controlling the temperature of the blood. The device is also quite generally suitable for gas introduction into and/or gas removal from liquids, for transmembrane distillation, as a filter, as an oil separator, as a blood plasma separator or as a haemoconcentrator. |
