ROTARY HEAD ASSEMBLY OF MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the workability of assembling by providing the inserting port of a jig to press fit a first outer ring at a flange and press fitting in the first outer ring into a fixed drum while the flange is fixed to a rotary shaft beforehand. CONSTITUTION:By matching at a flange 6 in the shaft direction to the first outer ring 501 and by a pitch of about 120 deg. in the circumferential direction, a hole 601 in the shaft direction is formed. The hole 601 functions as a jig inserting port to insert the jig to press fit the first outer ring 501 into a housing part 101 of a fixing drum 1. The flange 6, after the outer ring 501 is press fitted into the fixing drum 1, is not bonded and fixed to a rotary shaft 4, and bonded and fixed at the rotary shaft 4 while the height is regulated beforehand. In order to fix the unit to the fixing drum 1, a press fit jig is inserted into the hole 601 of the flange 6, the outer ring 501 may be press fitted into the housing part 101 of the fixing drum 1 and a second outer ring 502 is bonded to the housing part 101 in the same way as the conventional operation. Thus, since the flange 6 is fixed at the rotary shaft 4 while the height is regulated beforehand, the height regulation is not necessary at the time of assembling, and the workability is improved.
