DRIVING WORK OF SHIELD PLATE INTO GROUND

PURPOSE:To make the penetration of a shield plate into the ground easier by a method in which a shield plate is set under the ground by a flame-shaped penetrator, and pressure water is jetted into the ground for the next driving plate from one-side edge of the penetrator during penetrating or drawing period in such a way so as to loosen the ground. CONSTITUTION:A steel tube 2 and a joint material 3 are connected into a flame- shape form to form the body 1 of a penetrator, and nozzles 6 and 7 are attached to the lower end and one-side edge of the body 1. In a state that a shield plate 10 is attached to one side of the body 1, the penetrator is penetrated into the ground by jetting pressure water from the nozzle 6 and also by operating a vibration type penetrator 4. The penetrator is then pulled out by leaving the plate 10 to set the plate 10 under the ground. During the penetrating or drawing period of the penetrator, pressure water from the nozzle 7 provided in one side of the body 1 is jetted toward the ground for the next driving place to loosen the ground and to make the next penetration work easier.
