FACSIMILE CONVERTER

PURPOSE:To handle a structured document data in a mixed mode, etc. which includes a graphic, by outputting encoded data to a transmission buffer memory and providing a conversion control part starting conversion processing similar to that of the next page. CONSTITUTION:If data outputted from a reception buffer memory 1 is of a block with a character code, said code is converted into a character pattern. If said data is of a block with a facsimile image, facsimile image data is decoded in a decoder part 4. If said data is of a block with a graphic command, it is converted into a graphic pattern. All of said data is received by attaching to document data, and developed on one face of an image memory 7. When processing of the page concerned terminates, the converted and developed data is encoded by an encoder part 8, and outputted to a circuit through a reception buffer 2. Thus data with a two-dimensional expansion such as a graphic can be handled. Besides, two faces in an image memory are used, whereby the conversion delay time between pages can be minimized, and the circuit holding time is shortened.
