Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To enhance heat efficiently by improving the contact property of a heat generating part, by forming a projection on an insulating substrate and forming a glass glaze layer on said projection. CONSTITUTION:A pasty mixture consisting of an alumina powder and an org. binder is partially applied to an insulating substrate 1 comprising alumina by screen printing and baked to provide a projection 7. Then, a pasty mixture consisting of glass frit and an org. binder is applied to the projection 7 by screen printing and baked to form a glass glaze layer 2. In this thermal head, because the glass glaze layer was formed on the projection 7, a heat generating part A can be further protruded and the contact property of said heat generating part A with recording paper or an ink ribbon is improved to make it possible to enhance heat efficiency.
