EVAPORATOR UNIT FOR AIR CONDITIONER FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE:To lower a radiating sound level by forming an evaporator case with a low-rigidity material having a large damping capacity, outwardly projecting a coil supporting bracket from said case, and supporting a coil housed in said case by a body. CONSTITUTION:An evaporator case 1 is formed into two upper and lower molds 1a, 1b, with a low-rigidity material impervious to wind, e.g., expanded polyethylene, etc., an evaporator coil 2 is housed in it, and the upper and lower molds 1a, 1b are bonded to each other. The nibs 3a of a bracket 3 is bent so as to hold a heat exchanger tube 2a with the bracket and fitted to the coil 2, and the end of the bracket 3 is projected out of the opening 5 of the case 1 and installed to a body. By this constitution, the natural frequency of the case can be reduced, resonance with the exciting frequency of a compressor can be avoided, lowering a radiating sound level.
