Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain the titled transparent resin having high refractive index and good Abbe number and suitable for lens of correcting glasses, by copolymerizing a novel monomer and a crosslinking monomer having plural polymerizable functional groups. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin is produced by copolymerizing a monomer of formula (R is H or methyl; m and n are integer of 0-5) and a crosslinkable monomer having plural polymerizable functional groups copolymerizable with the above monomer. The polymerization is carried out preferably by cast- polymerization. The crosslinkable monomer is preferably a compound giving a homopolymer having a refractive index of >=1.6, e.g. divinylbenzene. The amount of the monomer of formula is preferably >=5wt% in the above monomer mixture. |
