STORAGE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain objective data in the shortest time by using the address obtained by adding one to the address of serial access as the start serial access address with respect to banks whose bank addresses are lower than the start bank address and performing the address control to read out a designated address and following addresses continuously. CONSTITUTION:When a start signal 1 and a start address 2 of objective data are given from a processor, a storage device 5 executes the read operation for a block including the start address of objective data. A nibble address control part 4 generates a start nibble address satisfying a prescribed condition from the address 2 for each bank. The address of serial access is used as the start serial access address with respect to banks whose bank addresses are higher than the start bank address, and the address obtained by adding one to the address of serial access is used as the start serial access address with respect to banks whose bank addresses are lower than the start address, and the designated address and following addresses are read out continuously.
