AUTOMATIC CONNECTION SYSTEM FOR TERMINAL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a trouble of connection operation at a designated date by registering the information required for connection such as a terminal device name and data/time and connection a host computer automatically to a terminal device at the designated time. CONSTITUTION:The user inputs information comprising a terminal name, a transmission line name, a physical address on the line and data/time for automatic connection required for the connection from a reader 100 to operate a registration means 1. The registration means 1 registers the inputted information in a secondary storage device 102 and sends the designated date/time to a date/time management means 2. When the designated date/time comes, the management means 2 informs the date/time to an identification means 3, which reads the information registered in a storage device 102 to discriminate the coincidence between the date/time informed from the means 2 and the date/time of the read information. When the both are coincident, a designated terminal device is added and revised in a communication management table used by a communication means 4 based on the read information to start the communication means 4.
