DUST COLLECTING HOOD

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled dust collecting hood suitable for removing dust contg. fire balls by providing a trumpet-shaped opening part for sucking dust, connecting an outlet pipe to an air passage of a reduction part in the form of a T and furnishing an air retention part at the rear opening part. CONSTITUTION:An enlarging trumpet-shape opening part 7 is provided at the inlet of a hood 6 and an outlet pipe 8 is connected to a cylindrical air passage 12 in the form of a T. A bag-shaped air retention chamber 13 which is remarkably enlarged with respect to the opening is connected to the rear end opening part. A drawer-shaped dust box 9 is arranged under the retention chamber 13 and used for collecting dust. Accordingly, the sucked air flows into the retention chamber 13 through the air passage 12 in the direction as shown by the arrow. The air is then reversed and discharged from the outlet pipe 8. When the air current is reversed, the large particles of fire balls, etc., having high inertia go straight ahead, drop into the retention chamber 13 and are collected. The fine particles are entrained by the reversed air current and sent to a dust collector from the outlet pipe 8.
