METHOD FOR PREVENTING RUST FORMATION OF METALLIC PRODUCTS IN WOODEN PACKAGING CONTAINER

PURPOSE:To surely prevent the rust formation of metallic products in a wooden packaging container and to improve the efficiency of the packaging operation by coating an aq. soln. contg. an alkanol amine and alkali metal salt of nitrous acid to the wood material part of the wooden packaging container. CONSTITUTION:The aq. soln. contg. the alkanol amine (e.g., monoethanol amine) and the alkali metal salt of the nitrious acid (e.g., sodium nitrite) is coated to the wood material part of the wooden packaging container in a method for preventing the rust formation on the metallic products housed in said container after packaging by subjecting the wood material forming the wooden packaging container to a surface treatment. As a result, the rust formation on the metallic products in the wooden packaging container is surely prevented and the efficiency of the packaging operation is improved.
