Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To easily produce a circular arc surface-shaped floating surface prevented from being stuck to a magnetic disk medium by forming grooves on a magnetic head material and filling the grooves with organic resin having a large difference in coefficient of thermal expansion between the resin and the magnetic head material. CONSTITUTION:The grooves 8, 8' are formed on the back 7 of a magnetic head slider 3 and the insides of the grooves 8, 8' are filled with the organic resin. The extent (d) of crown is determined in accordance with the width and depth of the grooves 8, 8' and the quantity (d) of the organic resin. The magnetic disk medium is not contacted with the whole surface of the floating surface because of the existence of the extent (d) of the crown and can be contacted with an extremely small area of the floating surface, so that sticking force is reduced and the magnetic disk medium can be prevented from sticking to the magnetic head. The number of grooves can be increased within the allowable range of the geometric size of the back of the magnetic head slider 3 and an ideal cylindrical crown shape can be obtained in accordance with the increase of grooves.
