Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from starting abruptly when a starter is driven while gears are in mesh by making it impossible to start an engine unless a transmission is shifted to a neutral position. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission is in a neutral position, a neutral switch 430 is closed. With this, when a starter switch 220 is turned on regardless of the closing condition of a door 100, a starter relay switch 330 is closed allowing a starter motor 200 to be driven so as to start an engine 540. If only the transmission 520 is in a neutral position, a vehicle will never start to run due to the driving force from the starter motor 200 or the start of an engine 540 even if the starter motor 200 is driven. Accordingly, the vehicle is safe even if the engine is allowed to start when passengers get on or off the vehicle with the door opened while the engine is suspended.
