CATV SUBSCRIBER'S TERMINAL

PURPOSE:To record a channel in a middle band or a super band while a viewer is viewing a normal television channel, and vice versa, by branching a television signal into two parts, selectively receiving the any one channel of the 1st branched signal so as to output a conversion signal, and switching and connecting the 2nd branched signal and the conversion one. CONSTITUTION:A converter 14 converts signals in the middle and super bands included in the 1st branched signal (a) into the signals of the 1st or 2nd channel of a VHF as a conversion signal (c). Changeover connection switches 15 and 17 are set as solid lines show, and a VTR carries out the video tape recording of an on-air television channel with the aid of a connection signal (e) while the viewer is viewing the channel of the middle or super band, and a normal on-air television from a connection signal (d). With the switch 17 set as the solid lines show, the switch 17 is set as broken lines show. While the viewer is viewing the on-air television channel due to the connection signal (d), the connection signal (e) executes the video tape recording of the on-air television and the channel of the middle or super band. If both switches 15 and 17 are set as the broken lines show, the viewer can view the channel as the same as the one recorded while the on-air television and the channel of the middle or super band are video-tape-recorded with the use of the monitor mode of the VTR.
