In Knitting a sleeved garment, the section for the arm and shoulder is knitted with the rows running along the arm and over the shoulder to the collar. A front and back shoulder section and trunk sections are knitted with the rows in the waist-collar direction ranging to the collar over the trunk sections. Both sides of the garment are knitted in the same way. The shaping is effected by knitting shorter rows which do not extend as far as the collar. The process allows the various sections of the garment to be joined together during knitting, instead of finishing with a sewing machine, and allows the arm angle to be varied.
