Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve a hydraulic turbine efficiency by providing a pair of guide vanes movable right and left at the right and left sides of the impeller of a crossflow hydraulic turbine, which allows water to flow to both directions, so as to allow the water to flow in and out of either side of the impeller. CONSTITUTION:Movable guide vane 16a and 16b equipped with auxiliary guide vanes 18a and 18b which are rotatably supported by a casing 11, are provided to the right and left directions of an impeller 13 in the casing 11. These movable guide vanes 16a and 16b are rotated by either of a water flow or an external drive action. In this case, the movable guide vane 16a in the inlet side is rotated to the impeller (13) side so as to induct the incoming water flow to the tangential direction of the impeller 13 making the water flow ideal. And the movable guide vane 16b in the outlet side is rotated so as to be parted from the impeller 13 so that the outgoing flow goes away with the least resistance experienced.
