Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To omit magnetic circuit systems, thereby prevent magnetic interference between driving means and enable highly reliable printing with stable characteristics, by using a piezoelectric element as a displacement-generating mechanism and driving a printing wire through a displacement-enlarging mechanism. CONSTITUTION:With a voltage impressed on a laminate-type piezoelectric element 1b, the element 1b shows a rapid displacement. In this case, since a tip part of a lever part 2b is held by an attrating force exerted by a lever-holding member 1d, only a central part of the lever part 2b is first displaced as indicated by dotted lines. When the lever part 2b is further displaced to attain a predetermined amount of displacement required for printing, the tip of the lever part 2b is released from a member 1d. As a result, the lever part 2b is rotated by accumulated energy with the point of application of the element 1b as a center of rotation, and the printing wire 5 making contact with the tip part of the lever part 2b is driven by a predetermined amount, followed by free flying to print. After printing, the lever part 2b is returned to the solid-line condition. The rebound generated when the lever part 2b collides against the element 1b in returning is rapidly attenuated by the attracting force of the member 1d. |
