CINNARIZINE-CONTAINING COMPOSITION FOR ORAL ADMINISTRATION

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having improved bioavailability by oral administration and enabling sure remedy of various diseases caused by the cerebral blood flow disorder, by dissolving cinnarizine in a fatty acid which is liquid at normal temperature. CONSTITUTION:The objective cinnarizine-containing composition for oral administration contains cinnarizine (chemical name: trans-1-cinnamyl-4- diphenylmethylpiperazine) in a state dissolved in a 8-18C fatty acid which is liquid at normal temperature (10-30 deg.C) (e.g. oleic acid, linoleic acid, etc.). The bioavailability can be improved remarkably compared with the solid cinnarizine agent for oral administration. The symptoms such as dizziness, headache, paralysis, etc., caused by the cerebral blood flow disorder such as cerebral apoplexy, cerebral arteriosclerosis, etc., can be surely improved. The titled composition is administered as an oil solution for oral administration, or a soft capsule or hard capsule, etc., filled with the solution.
