AUTOMATIC STEERING DEVICE FOR SHIP

PURPOSE:To make possible to select an item to be displayed and to set by a simple manipulation, by providing such an arrangement that items to be displayed and set may be selected and displayed in the order of use frequencies each time when a display item selecting switch and a set item selecting switch which are exclusively provided are depressed. CONSTITUTION:When display item switch 19 is depressed and a processor 21 detects such a condition, an alphanumeric character display 1 displays at first a display item having a highest use frequency, and subsequently, the display 1 displays items to be displayed in the order of use frequencies. Further, after the display 1 displays the final item to be displayed, the first displayed item is displayed on the display 1. Further, during the intermediate displayed items being displayed, a clear switch is depressed and then the switch 19 is depressed, the item having the highest frequency is displayed on the display 1. With this arrangement, a desired item may be displayed on the display 1 only by depressing the switch 9. Further, also in the case of the depression of a set item switch 20, set items are displayed on the display 1 in the order of use frequencies.
