Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To lock a seat at all times by means of a locking device by installing another hinge shaft above the hinge shaft for a seat bottom and a seat back and to release the lock by examining the opening of an engine cover when the seat back is tilted forward. CONSTITUTION:A seat bottom 5 and a seat back on the upper surface of an engine cover 10 are connected together by the first and the second hinge shafts 17 and 18 through a knuckle bracket 14 and a hinge bracket 15. A forward tilting lever 22 is supported onto a hinge bracket 16 and always urged in the locking direction. A forward tilting lever 29 is supported onto the hinge bracket 16, and always urged in the locking direction, while an engaging lever 33 and a detection lever 34 are also supported. The opening of the engine cover 10 is examined only when the seat back 6 is tilted forward by the operation of the both levers 33 and 34, and then a lock device is released.
