Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To facilitate assembly work by reducing the number of parts by supporting a steering column at one part through a pair of brackets. CONSTITUTION:A part in the upper part of a steering column 2a is supported through a chassis side bracket 3 and a column side bracket 4. The chassis bracket 3 is constituted of a curved surface part which has a semicircular section and is welded onto a hanger part 12 installed onto a chassis side 11 and a flange part 14 formed at the both edges of the curved surface part. Also the column-side bracket is constituted of the curved surface part having a semiconductor section and a flange part 24 opposed to the flange part 14.
