CUTTER FOR PRINTING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To cut a printing medium at the center of a mark and reduce the size of the mark part, by detecting a mark having a length set in consideration of the side of a character to be printed, delay of response in detection or the like, and after feeding the printing medium from the detecting position by a distance set in a setting part, stopping the medium and cutting the medium. CONSTITUTION:When the size of characters to be printed on a receipt paper 1d is designated by a designating button 9b, the corresponding set points D1, D2 are read from a setting part 10a, and are stored into a set point memory 12. Printing on the receipt paper 1e is conducted under the control of a printer- controlling circuit 13. The receipt paper 1e is fed out by a pulse motor controlling part 14, the set point D1 is read from the memory 12, and a black mark (m) is detected by a mark sensor S2. The set point D2 is read from the memory 12, is sent to a pulse motor controlling circuit 14a, and the paper 1e is fed by an amount corresponding to the set point D2 by feeding rollers R2. A cutter- controlling circuit 15 is started to cut the paper 1e at the enter position of the mark (m). The receipt 1f thus cut off is fed by feeding rollers R3, and is issued.
